Twelve by Nick McDonell

Sara is an hour at Chris´s party now and she doesn´t want a joint or a drink she just wants to go home.

Jessica who is a really pretty girl (the nose job helped) but not as pretty as Sara goes into the bathroomto do some coke.She gets a little baggie filled with white powder but it´s not cocaine it´s "number twelve".
She takes her first hit and her eyebrows arch up and her mouth opens, she sits down on the toilet and leans back. She feels that thingling.
Then she takes another hit. Her thingling gets fuller and goes from heer spine into the back of her head. She locks her knees and tightens her buttocks. A huge grin breaks out of her face and the colors of her bathroom dance in her vision. She giggles and flows off of the toilet and her face sliding against the porcelain.

Chris is 17 years old, looks really good and he throws partys to find the right girl. He shows Sara the house and the party. Everywhere are drunken boys and girls.
Sara says that Chris should invite more people because there is more fun on big partys.

White Mike gets 100 $ of Chris and Chris asks him if he wants to come in but he doesnt want to.
He walks through the streets and thinks how rich everyone is and he says that no one needs anything and it is all about want.

Sara Ludlow and her girlfriend are walking to a party.
Chris made a chart of the hottest girls in school and Sara is on the top of this list so everyone is looking at her. She has large breasts, long legs, blond hair, blue eyes and high cheeck bones.
Sara and her girlfreind arrive at the party of Chris.

Nana lives on 117th street and third avenue. He hates this place and he likes it more to be in the rec.
Nana is on the way home when he sees two tall men dealing one is white and slim and the other one is heavy.
Nana hides that the men can´t see him. The heavy man punches the slim one and shoots him down.
Then Nana wants to run away but he runs in the wrong way. The shooter kicks Nana so that he falls on the ground and finally he shoots him.

Hunter comes home when his father is looking to TV. His father is always drinking like his mother.
His father isn´t interested in Hunter and he doesn´t see his bloody clothes.Hunter is sad that his father doesn´t care him.

White Mikes past:
White Mike is waiting for a customer when he sees a kid throwing a cigarette in a garbage can which starts to burn.

White Mike goes to the gym and sees Hunter who is full of blood.
They meet together last time in September. Hunter tells him what has happened. They talk about their live and what are they doing now.
Hunter asks White Mike if he goes to college but he isn’t sure and Hunter says that he has to go to college. When he doesn’t get into Harvard he has to go to Dartmouth. Hunter wants to go to Harvard because Warren who is an old class mate of Hunter goes to Harvard too and when White Mike goes to Harvard too they have the “old times”.

It´s teen night at the recreational center (rec) and much black boys are playing basketball there and they are wearing do-rags and jordans. Hunter is one of two white boys in the rec the other one is arturo a short puerto rican kid. hunter McCulloh is a wiry white kid, he is six feet tall and has the best ups of the guys at the rec but he has the worst ball-handling skills.
Nana who is a black boy and the best handler on the court gets fouled and has to go out. Hunter comes for Nana in the game but the game stopped again when Nana wants to play again on his position where hunter is playing. Hunter never wanted to cause any trouble and he wanted to let Nana play but the others say that Hunter Hunter should play and Nana should leave the court.Nana is pissed off and hits Hunter in his face. Hunter doesn´t want to fight and backs off.Hunter is really muscular and finally he hits Nana and he sank on the floor. When Nana gets up again he shoots an elbow to Hunter´s ear. Nana gets Hunter´s knee twice to hias teeth when he attacks Hunter. Everywhere was blood on the floor and they are ending the fight. Then Arturo wants that they fight again because he thinks that this waas the coolest thing he ever seen but Hunter said that he should go away so Arturo calls Hunter a pussy. Hunter is crazed and thinks that this is too much and he throws a basketball at the back of Arturo´s head and he falls down face first. Arturo doesn´t want any trouble with Hunter so he let him and Nana goes out without looking at Hunter.

White Mike who is the main character of the story is a drug dealer. He is thin and pale,he wears jeans, a hooded sweatshirt and a dark blue overcoat from Brooks Brothers and his hair is blond and really short.
Although White Mike deals with drugs he never smoked a cigarette or had a drink. He sells his drugs in New York after he had seen the movie "American Beauty".
When White Mike started to deal with drugs it was summer and hot. He tried to stay awake as long as he can and after three days he was dirty and looked a bit scary.When White Mike ran away from Hunter who is a good friend of White Mike there were some kids in the park who said madman running to White Mike. Then he walked to them and said madman, madman, madman, madman and he barked and howled to them. So the kids ran away and Hunter brought White Mike in a cab and he drove home where he collapsed in his bed.
White Mike´s mother is dead and he remembers at her and that she told him something about Chaos Theory.
